FDA chemical analysis revealed that both Blue Steel and Hero treatment for erection problems products do not qualify as dietary supplements, because they are considered unapproved drugs and have not been proven to be safe or effective.
The FDA says Blue Steel and Hero ED treatment products contain undeclared and unapproved substances, that are similar in chemical structure to Sildenafil, the active ingredient in Viagra, but they are not components of any FDA approved drug.
Viagra is an FDA-approved prescription drug for ED, erectile-dysfunction, sexual impotence, and penis disorder problems.
Additionally, the Blue Steel and Hero product labels do not list any of these questionable substances.

Consumers with underlying medical issues may take these products without knowing that they can cause serious side effects and interact in dangerous ways with drugs that a consumer is already taking."
The undeclared ingredients in these products may interact with nitrates found in some prescription drugs, such as nitroglycerin, and can lower blood pressure to dangerous levels. Consumers with diabetes (high blood sugar), high blood pressure, high cholesterol (high ldl cholesterol), or heart disease often take nitrates.
FDA Urges Discontinuation Of Blue Steel or Hero Treatment For Erectile Dysfunction Products
The FDA advises customers who have used either the Blue Steel or Hero products to discontinue use. They are urged to consult their health care professional if they have experienced any adverse problems that they feel may be related to the use of these products.
